You can get frozen chopped spinach in big bags, maybe they're 20 oz. -- from Trader Joe's. The little frozen boxes are 10 ounces each, so you chould just use 4 of these boxes if you wanted to make this recipe. Or you could buy fresh spinach and cook it in the microwave yourself -- it takes only about 7 minutes in a covered microwave dish, just using the water that clings to the leaves after washing under cold running water.

I didn't know frozen spinach came in big bags. This sounds like a
wonderfully delicious casserole. I suppose a large block of cream cheese
would be an 8-ounce package. Or maybe a 16-ounce?

Spinach Casserole
2 big bags chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1 big block cream cheese, softened
1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
1 Tbsp minced garlic or 1 tsp garlic powder
1 can Durkee's Onion Rings
Squeeze the spinach well to get it pretty dry. Combine the spinach, cream
cheese, soup and 1/3 of the onions in a bowl. Turn into greased baking dish
and top with the remaining onions. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1/2 hour
or until done.
I've substituted shredded cheddar for the onion and it works well, too.
