Twice? I am not willing to go through the experience twice! (And, if you did it, I have no trouble imagining that I would too!)

Who makes the recharageable electric knife, do you remember?

I think I will look for that model.

And, does it hold a charge long enough to disassemble a whole loaf of bread or a pork tenderloin?

I've had exactly the same experience as Penny with cutting through the cord of an electric knife. in fact, not being contented with only one bang and flash, i had to repeat the experience again a year or two later. i now have a rechargeable cordless knife which i wouldn't be without. My advice for anyone looking at purchasing one of these is to try and go for a cordless model. just my
thoughts.
