Mmmmm, most of the homemade hash browns I've had have been fried so that they're a little crunchy. But, they still look like potatoes and not something that's in a uniform shape and deep fried. could your daughter be thinking of something like those hash brown patties they sell at McDonalds? Or maybe something like tator tots? Those really aren't traditional hash browns even though they're touted as such on menus.

Subject: [CnD] hash browns

Yesterday we made some Hash Browns.
They tasted good to us and held together nicely.

Our daughter refused to eat them because they didn't look like normal hash browns.

Any solutions or suggestions?
