folding means to gently add an ingrediant by stirring or sometimes even by hand, but do not use an electric mixer. You just want to add it to the mixture by simply folding it into that mixture enough just to coat, like adding nuts to the recipe, or sometimes cool whip foods that really don't need to be beat to absorbe into the recipe.

I'm very new to cooking and I'm unfamiliar with many cooking terms and

exactly does it mean to fold something into something else? Also, what are
some good techniques for measuring very small amounts of liquid such as
