What methods do you all use to make chocolate chip pancakes?  Almost all of the 
recipes that I have come across instruct you to mix the chips in with the 
batter.  However, I've tried this, and the chips always end up burning.  A 
friend suggested something that I will try next time.  She advised me to pour 
some batter onto the griddle, and when one side is almost done, sprinkle on 
some chips; then pour on a bit more batter and then flip over.  This sounds 
like it would work better.  Do any of you used this method, and if so, how does 
it come out?  What else do you all do?
