For this recipe I can think of several good cracker options.

The first thing that springs to mind is a butter cracker like Ritz, Town
House, or Club crackers. Triskits would also work, as would Carr's Table
Water crackers. But if you want a slightly exotic option go to your local
natural grocery and get a package or two of Ak-Mak crackers. These are
Israeli sesame crackers, and their flavor will go with the crab ball in
interesting ways.

I'd shy away from normal saltines, as those are just too flat a flavor for
this dip -- it needs a partner, a sidekick, to bring out its flavor. For the
same reason I'd probably avoid pita chips or toasted pita wedges.

Finally, for an interesting idea, try Chicken in a Biscuit crackers. These
are one of my favorite crackers, and their chicken flavor would do
interesting things to the crab. Not a taste for everyone, though.
