You can also sprinkle a little onion powder and/or garlic powder over
the cheese.  You can either cook the sandwich in a frying pan for
about six or seven minutes per side, or bake in the oven at 400
degrees for about ten minutes on one side, and eight or nine minutes
on the second side.

Another thing you can try is a little sprinkle of sweet basil over the cheese.

I used to sprinkle these things over the butter, but it makes the
kitchen a bit smoky.
