Here's what I do to cook bacon the George. I bring it out and set it on the
counter to put the bacon in. I put the slices of bacon on the plate. I think
four or five will fit. I turn the knob to high and plug the grillin. I set my
stove timer for thirteen minutes as soon as I plug the grill in. I buy the
Schwans bacon so it's a little thicker. i think the thin bacon will take ten
minutes. It works perfectly, too. You can get the bacon off pretty easily
without burning your fingers. I tried heating it up first and then putting the
bacon on but it's too hot doing it that way because when you try to place it
straight, you can burn your fingers. it's a lot easier doing it when the grill
is cold. It's less messyier than the microwave or the stove because all you
have to do is dump the grease ou when it gets a little colder and wash the
plates, of course. Hope this helps. I enjoy my bacon better because there's
less mess and splatter.
