I explained it in a previous message. It's a piece of metal with holes in it and a knob on top. You put the cold bacon in the pa and put the bacon crisper on top of the bacon and turn the pan on and time the bacon for as long as you need. You don't have to turn the bacon because the crisper covers it.n
