Will,

A crockpot recipe I use a lot is for chicken breasts. You can put them in the pot frozen even if they are frozen separate. This is the kind with the bones in. Put in one for each guest. Add a little salt and pepper and if you want sprinkle in sage and parsley. Put the lid on and turn it to High till it gets hot then to Low. Let it cook all day and when your guests arrive, the chicken will be fall apart tender. Serve this with some Minute Rice with Butter or Margarine and a can or frozen peas. For the rice, equal parts rice and water. Put a cup of rice and a cup of water in a glass dish in the microwave. Cover with plastic wrap and cook for 5 minutes. Let set for a few minutes and salt and pepper to taste. Cook the peas in the microwave for 3 or 4 minutes depending on how you like them. If you want them more done, just cook some more.

If you want pork, wash some pork chops, put them in the pot with a tiny bit of water (just enough to wet the bottom) and cook on Low all day. Get a bag of pre-chopped salad at the store and some dressing to pour on top. Get some cherry tomatoes or baby carrots to go in too and a carton of potato salad. Nice simple meal yet good.

Subject: [CnD] Something easy

Hi there,

I hope I can get some assistance. I need a recipe for something easy yet
good that I could make in the crock pot. I'm having company in a few days
and need to prepare a meal for dinner but have limited cooking experience.

It would have to be either chicken or pork. I can get some ingredients for
sure. I suppose I could also do something simple in the oven if that would
be just as easy.

So, anything quick and easy would be great for this novice.

Thanks!

Will
