Hello All,

I just upgraded my Mac to 10.9. I have tried both the stable version of coot
0.7.1 and also a daily build of 0.8 and still have the same problem of no
graphics window showing up. The terminal output ends at

(set-display-lists-for-maps 0)
load "tips-gui.scm"
load "check-for-updates.scm"
load "jligand-gui.scm"
load "get-recent-pdbe.scm"
load "extensions.scm"
load "shelx-extensions.scm"
(filter-fileselection-filenames-state)
(get-active-map-drag-flag)
(use-graphics-interface-state)

Any ideas as to what I maybe missing are welcome.

Dear Len,

I understand that crystallography is tricky on 10.9.

At a guess, X11 has not been started before you try to run coot. So give that a go? Maybe something to do with the version/distribution of X11 you are running?

One day we will make a native (non-X11) version of Coot, so this problem will go away. But not today.

Paul.
