I'm not comfortable with making the classes public in the mapred package.
Could we make them public in another package? Or is the visibility wrong? I
just don't want the public javadoc to include these events that absolutely
don't matter to users of map/reduce. If we move them to another package, we
should turn off the public javadoc from that package.
