That's the standard D-model arrangement. I'd describe it as 'sensitive but ineffective.' Probably the latter just because Ercoupe pitch forces are inherently so light. It's kind of ooch-ooch-ooch forward and you're trimmed from cruise. Same thing the other way, and she nails 75MPH. 'Nudge' gives you about 5MPH difference. Frankly, after years of 172s and Cherokees, I love it. Like the difference between a fine old pocket watch and a Baby Ben alarm clock.
