Don't know if it's original or not, but mine has the standard type crank
handle
on the dash.  Arrows indicate nose up or down.  And, it definitely works
quite
satisfactorily.  I couldn't figure how it worked, as there's no trim tab
anywhere to be seen.  I now understand that it's spring loaded somewhere
deep in
the bowels of the plane.  Cranking increases or decreases (depending on
direction of crank travel) the spring pressure on the elevators, thus the
trim
control.
