> DO NOT HIT THE TAPER PINS WITH A HAMMER! You CAN RUIN THE UNIT! I welded a "U" bridge on the end of a "C" clamp, then screwed in the clamp and PRESSED them out. You only need to break them loose, like any taper pin. Once they are loose, a small drift can tap them out.
