I am not clear as to what your problem is. "Not working as well" is not very descriptive but if you mean it is not as bright or it sometimes skips a flash, try running for a while before you assume anything is wrong. Flash tubes sometime need to burn in.
Also please try to post in ASCII format only, otherwise there is a lot of garbage (see below). In what ever mail software you are using you should be able to choose between plain text and rich text or html. Choose plain text.
