Seems that the part that fails on the Eisemanns most is the coil. I
replaced
my coil about 6 months ago on the left mag, and logbooks show it was done
on
the same mag 8 years and 250 hours earlier. My A/I also told me to replace
the Eisemanns w/ the Slick mags. If the money shows up, I might someday
but
the famous words ring "I WILL REPLACE NO MAGNETOS UNTIL IT'S TIME". Slick
has
the rebate program but they don't list the Eisemanns as one of the
returnable
magnetos. Maybe they will make an exception to get their mag's out there.
Seems the parts were very expensive for the LA-4 magneto and
getting
harder to get every year.
