Since I'm flying on spring gear, too, I'm obviously a little concerned. It distressed me to hear that Mooney had a recall; I'm not aware of an AD related to this -- is there one? Did Alon ever have a recall? Did the Alon gear have a different manufacturer than the Mooney? Is there a history of spring gear breakage in the Alon? Any words of advice other spring gear owners have regarding what to look for and how to inspect the gear would be greatly appreciated.
