----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Yes, there are always easier ways but I like the looks of ercoupes, the no
need for hand controls, the legroom of not having rudder pedals, the inside room (more than a Cessna 120/140), the low maintenance, low fuel burn, "convertible" top and especially the price. For $15,000 I can get a good ercoupe. How much for a good 172? Tomahawk or even Cherokee 140? Twice to three times as much. I am an A&P/IA and we do many alterations and approvals. Its all in how you submit these things to the FAA. Im not too worried about the approval process. As long as there arent any major structural longerons in that area.
