Coupers,

I fly a '46 Coupe, serial number 510. Intermittently, small amounts of
fuel will vent from the header tank cap(new with gasket). I am guessing
that the overflow line may be partially blocked at times, preventing
proper fuel return to the wing tanks. What is the proper procedure for
disconnecting the fuel lines and relieving any blockages that may exist? I
have seen very small particles of what appear to be paint flecks, on a few
occasions when draining the wing sumps.

Thanks,
Steve in Lakeville
