I couldn't agree more! My airport has been in continuous operation
(as an airport) since prior to WWII.
When my county (long after WWII) decided to invent a new government
agency (to control all the land in the county) they thought that since I
was surrounded by farms they'd just 'zone' everything in the area as
'agricultural' land. Even though I'm 'grandfathered' in and they can't
close me down, I can't build any additional hangars (not even open
T-hangars).
Therefor, I have about 3/4 of my land that I must pay taxes on but can
not use for anything other than farming. (Right now i'm growing a LOT of
grass and weeds which are a fire hazard to the entire area during the late
summer months but they don't seem to care about that, just so I'm not
"Further Escalating The misuse Of Agricultural Land".) And my taxes are
paying their wages??????

Signed: Annonymous
They might consider me 'un-american' for my way of thinking. Even
though at the time of my retirement I'd spent over half of my life in the
Military! (To keep communism off of our shores????)
Sure, I'm glad to be an American. I just wish America was a little
less government and a lot more......'Of the people, by the people and for
the people' instead of 'Of the government, by the government and screw
the people'.
(Oops, can I say 'screw' on the net? I meant that metalic object that
holds the nose cowling onto my coupe.) ;-)

Bye for now............

I'am a farmer and have to deal with the goverment and the new farm program

is ten times more complicated than the old. So when the FAA comes up with
new hard to obey rules it's just par for the course. I long for the old
days
with less goverment. Somone has said that we should be thankful we are
not
getting all the goverment we are paying for...
