I definately agree that every student should go through spin training. I was lucky enough to have an instructor that thought that it was important after having one of his students go into a spin after a secondary stall during stall recovery on his check ride and didnt know how to recover from the spin. End of check ride and check ride pilot said go learn spin recovery procedures before you schedule a check ride with me again. During Stall practice before my check ride I made that same mistake and Knew what to do although it scared me to death I lived to appreciate the importance of knowing that at some point and time we are all going to make a mistake but it is not knowing what to do about it that will kill us. just my .02 worth.
