Should I keep posting this stuff? I don't know if it's interesting or not.
Today I bought a long "scientific" thermometer, and measured the temperature of the oil after a good climb and landing. The thermometer and the oil temp gauge agreed, at 210F. I pulled the prop through all the cylinders, one cylinder has a lot more compression than the rest, which are about the same. I pulled the cowling off and took out the spark plugs, #1 and #3 cylinders, which are two of the three "soft" ones, have lots of oil in them, #2 and #4 are dry. I don't see any scuffing on the walls, yet. Tomorrow I'll pull them off and see what's going on. Even though I sound irritated, I am really enjoying working on this thing :-) ------------------------------- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Say NO to useless over-quoting -------------------------------
