Jack,

Make sure there is a small aluminum plate (about 3/8 inch by 1 inch)
under the thumbscrews glued to the window track. This way the
thumbscrew presses the plate against the window and provides more
friction.

        Coupers:

Need help on getting the windows on my coupe to stay
        closed in flight.

I've replace the seals on my windows with self
lubricating nylon. Done this so the windows would
open easier. (Was so hard to open that I could
not open them in flight). Now they open to easy.

The orginal thumb screws work, to some degree,
but not real good. Some type of mod for this
appears to be the best answer. I need to be
able to place a small amout of pressure on the
glass. This would allow me to set the windows
where I want them and then tighten down the screws.
However the screew won't go in enough to put
        pressure on the window.
