I also would like to get a better system for keeping my windows where
I put them. The thumb screws that I have push their holders out, instead
of clamping down on the window plastic.
My current solution is a strip of velcro on the pilots side, and a
nylon strap on the other. The strap I just adjust (before takeoff!).
The velcro is also an adjust-before-fly proposition. I can remove it
in flight, but then the window goes to full down.
I have considered a metal fixture of some kind, but don't want to
interfear with the sliding action. So any suggestions are most needed.
