Ken Wrote: I was just a new couper and felt unworthy of promoting
myself or plane
until I could at least land it without a death grip on the yoke.

Dave Wrote: I really hated the statement by Ken Doyle that some
Coupers might feel
"unworthy" of promoting himself or plane.

Ken Writes: It was only myself that felt "unworthy", not other coupers.
I no longer use the
death grip, and I don't mind saying now that I have the best plane flying
and that I can fly
better than anyone else--at least until I take-off.

Dave Wrote: Come on Ken, this is not about
promoting yourself it's about locating other Coupers out there you can
meet
of swap lies with or even bum a ride with. Remember a low time pilot with
a
ratty old Coupe is still head and shoulders above the higher time pilot
who
strolls out of the FBO with the keys in his hand to the what ever he just
RENTED. The owner of anything that flys is someone who should hold his
head
 up.

Ken Writes: I agree!

Ken Writes: The weather for the convention is looking positive from
Missouri. I think three of
us are coming from Springfield, maybe a forth. There are several other
coupes in the area but I
haven't spoken with the pilots. Howabout everyone who intends to go post
that intent again on
the list.

Anyone: Is it possible to change the generator brushes without taking the
generator off (of an
Alon)?
