I have only had my coupe for three months, I flew it with the windows down for the first time one nice sunny day two weeks ago. I noticed quite a bit of drag. My normal flying around altltute is 8000 ft . If I am alone I indicate 105mph. WIth the window down I could not reach 100, also had to carry much more power on final to keep speed at 80. Sure was fun with the windows down though. Mine is the old Ercoupe with the slide down side windows. I don't have rudder pedals and haven't missed them so far. My experience so far is I don't need slips or flaps cut the power and you feel like your in a C150 with 40deg of flaps.
