I think it be important to point out that you should check the fabric before purchasing the plane to make sure it does not show light through when looking from inside the wing. If it is not covered properly the fabric will deteriorate rapidly if parked outside. I would speculate that a large number of planes are not covered in complete compliance with the manual, especially when covered using the Stits Poly Fiber system. That product line is different and seems to inspire improper technique among technicians who are more familiar with older dope systems.
