Ed makes an interesting observation about changing the CG with
the larger baggage compartment in the Alons. (We)
should probably re-weigh our planes every 10 years or so, but that aside,
the Alon baggage area is already rated for 75lbs even though it would take a
sand bag to get that much weight behind the seat without opening the area below
the hat rack. That being the case I would think a recalculation of CG
would not be necessary even if we have more space to fill. The A2A has a
real seat in the back for a kid or pet to ride in, but I don't think the weight
and balance or CG is any different than in the A2. What do you other Alon
drivers think about the CG issue?
