It might be best to make some calculations and measurements first, especially if you have a 30AMP generator. I have two landing lights plus all the rest (GPS, navcom, electric turn & bank indicator, flashing beacon [actually two strobes], nav and panel lights) and don't have any trouble. Of course the generator doesn't keep up at idle, but at cruise it's OK.
It's nice to have that alternator if you spend most of your time in the pattern (or short flights), idling on the ground, or if you have less than a 30AMP generator. David N6359V > "H. K.
