One of the Alon service bulletins calls for support to the
mount/nose gear tube with springs. My Alon had rubber
instead of springs. I changed the method to one of tying
both pipes rigidly together with an angle crossbrace and not
tying it to the airframe; I've seen this done on another
Alon and it is also done on some other aircraft with
four-bangers and dual exhaust. Please - what is "proper
support?"
