Rings rotate on the piston and occasionally they will all sort of line up.

There is no indication here that your engine was improperly assembled.  

Now you might wonder if the rings were installed the right way up?


<joke> The rings are installed with the lettering toward the piston top
but 
on the C-85, O-200 there is really no difference because of the way the
ring 
is designed on the small Continental.  There would be a difference on many

other engines.
