Through the left (looking back at the engine) lifters and Cam bearings. The filter dose filter oil to the crank shaft. But cam bearing are also important. Just a little more protection by leaving in the screen. I left mine in, I clean it at annual A good year. 125 hrs most of the time 80 hrs or a little less. With
oil and filter 25/30 hrs have not found anything yet. That screen has a fair amount of area to become totally plug plus I am always watching oil pressure.
