I doubt it'll ever get off the ground. But, according to Poberezny, the FAA is concerned about the orphaned aircraft. He points out, correctly, that the entire body of knowledge about these aircraft is contained in the type clubs and their members.
If they are seriously thinking about it, perhaps the suggestion Roy and I threw together has a shot at it.
