Sorry Larry, but your logic sucks instead.  During turbulence, try to
loosen
your grip on the yoke so you can thumb the push button.  Having the
opposing
thumb is what allows us to grip so firmly.  I have my hand on the throttle
almost all the time when I am not using it for other things and especially
when the plane is bouncing around in case I need to reduce power to
maneuvering speed.  I have operated before with a switch near the throttle
control (electric prop pitch change) and found it natural.  Isn't it neat,
opinions are like anus's, everyone has one.
