Andy,  Yes, I suppose it works, but is it handy?  After all, if you have
to reach for a switch each time
you talk, you might as well be using a hand mike.  That would eliminate
one of the wires from the head
set.  My whole point is; ease of use.  Having to reach out each time
works, but it's gotta be a pain in
the you know what.  And yes, I do have a wire coming from the dash out to
the velcro mounted PTT button,
but with the
button so close to the panel, I have little fear that I'll snag the wires
and rip them out.
