I took the advice of several people and installed the "Bracket" air filter
kit. But it took me a heck of a lot more than 45 minutes to install, Mike! I removed the air box to install the filter screens. Maybe I didn't have to, but the screen frames had to be ground down a bit to get a fit and it was easier to do in the shop at home. It didn't solve my problem, however. I thought the old air filter being loose disturbed the air flow and gave me serious performance problems. But the problem is still there after installing the new "Bracket" filter. Won't run up past 1500 RPM. Maybe I got unlucky and sucked in a bug while my old filter was dancing around while flying a couple days ago!! Maybe the mechanic screwed up the mags during annual. Maybe I'm just having a bad week!! More later. Wayne N3544H
