Hello out there,

All this discussion on control surface free play has gotten me to check
our coupe for free play.We have about 5/16 movement at the trailing edge
of
the ailerons. The main culpret seems to be the aileron bell crank
bearings.Since we have an annual coming up next month we plan on replacing
them at that time. Has anyone been able to pull that job off without
removing the wings? I have thought that perhaps I could remove the rear
spar
bolts, and the upper main spar bolt, let the wing pivot down and get the
bell crank out.
If any one has done the job and could enlighten me I would appreciate
it!I
need to have this annual done quickly. I don't want to be grounded in July
with national and Oshkosh coming up.
   Thanks, Ben Suddard 93994
