This is not a freebsd list, so you should say "freebsd ports". the term
is used differently in other places. see

for a completely different meaning (not even trying to see what it would
mean outside of bsd world).

it says it all. authdaemon cannot connect to mysql as user 'root..'
1- make sure the (host, user, password) triple is correct,
2- make sure this triple is allowed to access the db (GRANT...)
you can check things manually
# mysql -h localhost.imsmailsrv.com -u root -p"xxxxx" dbname
<grin>
why that is called localhost.blahblah instead of just localhost is
beyond my imagination...
