i'm using suse. I don't know if the system crashes because of the
operating system. Most of my users are not happy to use other email
clients. They prefer to use squirrelmail not only for sending emails but
for storing thousands of emails as well.

I've noticed that when a user with thousands of emails signs in, using
squirrelmail, utilisation is 100% because of imapd. I think the same will
happen it they use another mail client and choose IMAP to syncronise the
mailboxes.

Does the high CPU utilisation mean that Courier does not use DMA to read
data from the disk?

I'll try to use fsck to see what happens. Thanks for your help!

Alex
