Im not looking to join a war but....

One of my clients uses redhat's up2date service, and he experienced
problems when trying to compile the latest version of courier. Basically,
the latest libstdc++ libraries were broken, and meant he couldn't compile
any c++ program. After I returned back to a previous version, everything
worked okay. Im afraid I dont have any of the versions available, but it
was a RH7.0 box, with all the latest available updates installed.

Basically, my point being that RPMs are fine and dandy, but sometimes they
cause more problems than they solve.
