A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far way, someone said... > Outlook frequently (but inconsistently) complains that "The server has > unexpectedly closed the connection" when switching folders. It doesn't > seem to affect the actual operation of Outlook, as everything seems to > work, but having that dialog box pop every time one switches folders is > pretty irritating (and disconcerting for those unaccustomed to MS > glitches). > > Nothing shows up in the Courier logs when this happens. > > Surely other people have seen this problem. Have have you handled it?
I've not seen this issue; I don't use MSOE for anything but making sure that it works with my Courier settings :) Maybe it's related to the Mozilla problem? Mozilla/Netscape 6 maintain a maximum of 5 IMAP connections to the server. It's likely that you have MAXPERIP set to low - 5 is good for Mozilla and anything else that I've tried.
