That's odd then. I'm on 0.36.1.

Ok, actually I've tried that, but I've encountered some kind of problem
when both of these are used together. For example, If I use
set spoolfile='{domain.com:143}INBOX'
set folder='{domain.com:143}INBOX'
then Mutt is totally unable to log in, and the Courier logs show 'LOGIN
FAILED'. Now, if I set
set spoolfile='{domain.com:143}INBOX'
set folder='INBOX'
then Mutt is able to login to the IMAP server, but when I go to change
folders, it wants to look on the _local_ machine rather than the IMAP
server. Finally, if I set
set spoolfile='INBOX'
set folder='{domain.com:143}INBOX'
then Mutt mutt will start up with "no folder" (I don't want to create
an empty 'INBOX' file locally just to satisfy Mutt), and the only way
to get to my INBOX is to issue a "change folder" command, manually
select the "../" entry, then the "INBOX" entry.
This last case is the one I've been using, because it's the only one
that allows me to log in to the IMAP server AND have 'change folder'
options give me a list of folders on the IMAP server rather than the
local machine. But Mutt won't start up with IMAP this way...
Have you been able to configure Mutt to deal with the IMAP server in
a saner way? If so, what version of Mutt are you using?
Also, does Mutt handle subdirectories properly for you? Whenever I use
subdirectories like .Archive.2001.12, Mutt fails to display the IMAP
INBOX in the folder list.
Thanks,
m.
