Thanks, that was what I did not do. Now I can receive mail from yahoo. Sadly the installation docs mention the esmtpacceptmailfor file, but give no reference to makeacceptmailfor. What's more, the description for this file does not at all suggest that this is needed for simply receiving email. If I were to make a suggestion to the author, I would say that it needs to be made more clear how to configure the system for basic email functions. I would assume the common case is to be able to send and receive email with the outside world. > Only the contents of etc/esmtpacceptmailfor will be consulted, > and 'Relaying Denied' means the domain is not listed there. > Watch out for trailing spaces, the usual suspects... > > If the domain is not listed in etc/locals you get 'Unknown User', > but we are not there yet :) I did have a locals file, then I removed it and ran makealiases. I can still receive mail from outside. Thanks again. nathan _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm _______________________________________________ courier-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
