Aarggh. Sorry to post what is probably simple to experienced Courier/LDAP folks... This is my first attempt at this and the s.f. archives are not available right now.
Trying to validate recipient addresses, via courierldapaliasd, on external mail gateway. Found had to build rpm's with authldap, even though I didn't expect to be using it. No pop3, imap, or authenticated smtp on this machine. But OK, that's done. Then had to configure authldaprc to actually contact the LDAP server. Again, not sure why, but OK... courierldapaliasd *does* confirm address... [courier@arsenic courier]$ courierldapaliasd query esmtp [EMAIL PROTECTED] maildrop: [EMAIL PROTECTED] But authldap still gives me... Nov 17 09:11:44 arsenic authdaemond.ldap: authlib: refuse to authenticate [EMAIL PROTECTED]: uid=0, gid=0 My authldaprc does not have a valid LDAP_HOMEDIR (even though it says it MUST), so is that the issue? Why does this machine need one if there is no delivery on it? jerry ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: To learn the basics of securing your web site with SSL, click here to get a FREE TRIAL of a Thawte Server Certificate: http://www.gothawte.com/rd524.html _______________________________________________ courier-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
