Just to be sure: I'm talking about right clicking in the drawer of folders -- under In -> [AccountName] -- not in the preferences. And none of this will do you any good unless you're running 10.2.x. (And, of course, you need to be using IMAP, not POP3.)

If you don't have a Trash folder under In -> [AccountName], then either you already have it set (it's set if right clicking on Trash -> [AccountName] produces a menu with "Get new mail in [AccountName]" on it rather than a grayed-out entry for "Get New Mail".). Or you don't have a Trash folder under the account (check the directories under your Maildir on the server). Or, for some reason, you never subscribed to it.
