No, it won't have a Trash icon, it will have a normal folder icon. Mail doesn't know it's the intended Trash folder until you tell it so -- which is the whole point of the exercise. It's simply a folder that happens to have the name "Trash" and doesn't have any special meaning to Mail. The same goes for the other special folders under your imap account.in the drawer of folders -- under In -> [AccountName]I'll say it again, and I just checked, and feel CERTAIN that I would have noticed a BIG RED CIRCLE WITH A BAR THRU IT, that It's not there.
And if you don't have a Trash folder under the account, try right-clicking/control-clicking on the account name, select "New Mailbox..." and create a "Trash" folder. Or navigate the main menu: Mailbox -> New Mailbox... However, once you've created it and marked it as that account's Trash folder, the folder vanishes from under the account name and reappears as a folder under Trash at the top level. (And the same is true for Drafts and Sent.)
