I just spent the last couple of days playing with qmail-ldap and Courier myself. I think I have things working pretty well, but I'm still fairly new to LDAP. > My servers setup as follows: > - svrA consisted of ldap and courier-imap > - svrB consisted of apache, php and qmail with qmail-ldap patch [ much configuration deleted ...] > Does courier try to look for /var/qmail/maildirs/roger/Maildir/ in svrA ? > (which of course does *not* exist) Where else would it look? You haven't said that srvA has mounted the maildirs on srvB via NFS or some such, so how does srvA acess the mail store? I understand that qmail-LDAP seems a bit magical, but it's not nearly _that_ magical. :) You will either need to mount srvB:/var/qmail/maildirs to srvA and point Courier to that mount point (and for simplicity, you should mount that under /var/qmail/maildirs on srvA), or else install Courier and qmail on the same machine.
