There is a lot more out-of-date (or jsut plain wrong) with that port.  For
example it can build obsolete copies of postgresql (and other htings)
right over top of running newer ones.  Bad scene!

cvsup first, then cd /usr/src and:

make buildworld
make buildkernel
make installkernel

reboot

mergemaster -p
make installworld
mergemaster (IIRC - it is around page 2 of /usr/src/Makefile).

About 4 hours on a K6-500 that is still hosting while this goes on.

IOW, no, I don't drop to single-user mode to do it.
That *does* require on-site hand-holding.
