yeah that port is horribly done... among other annoying things it uses
a "--with-userdb" but no "--enable-userdb" so userdb doesn't work... and
i don't care for interactive ports to start with... etc... i'd rewrite it
good but i'm not the maintainer so doubt it would get in anyway...
